Had to sleep last night before doing the color, so the comic is a few hours late. Sorry. Jeez.

The War on Christmas continues. It's killing me. We can't focus on anything important, God forbid, because then we might be empowered to do something about the shit state of the world. Nope, instead, we're plunged into this Culture War, this giant fucking distraction, this flourish of the laced cuffs while the charlatan pulls another $50 from your pocket. And because the powers that be wage it in such an insulting fashion, we 'liberals', we people who are willing to be critical of those that lead us, we get incensed. "How dare you say we are waging a war on Christmas?!" and we get all caught up in disproving them. Rather than, say, protesting the REAL war.

I jokingly accused my father, who wishes to remain anonymous, of waging a war on Christmas because he wished me a Merry Solstice. He had this to say (which I can print, because he's anonymous):
"Those bastards stole our Solstice celebration and turned it into a lesson in animal husbandry. Where we once had great orgies to rid ourselves of the old year and embrace the new, now we have livestock in mangers and shepherds and turkeys and geese. It's a regular menagerie. So don't Merry Christmas me! Alright? Merry Fuckin' Solstice!"

The tree doesn't fall far from the apple.
