Fat and Crappy

Fat and Crappy

Wine, Ink, and other Humors

For starters, I like wine. It's been far too long since I got to enjoy having a variety of delicious wine at my finger tips. One of my many occupational pass times is as a sales facilitator at a wine shop. I really crave a Riesling right now. Something slightly sweet. Normally, I'm a red junky, but a good white can claim me on a summer night, and ravage me, leaving me weeping in rags, but secretly satisfied. Hm. That sounds not so good.

Changing tack... I think it is finally time for me to get a tattoo. I have none, but I've always felt that it was something I should try. Of course, being the rational, cerebral basket of inhibition I am, I didn't want anything I would look on later in life and regret. I've been waiting for a cross roads, a turning point in my life, to mark on my body with a milestone, a street sign, saying, "Hey, remember when you were this young, and these things meant a lot to you?" I think I'm at such a turning point now. I go back to school in the Fall, this time art school, and I'm going to get it right. I've got a good grasp on my life, I'm finally at the helm, and not waiting for someone else to steer me to my destination. And I'd like to have a patch of my skin that I can look upon and say, "That's when it all changed."

Your interesting things for today are this comic by Warren Ellis, of which there is but one issue out. It centers around a retired MI6 agent and medical experiment works as a private detective in the intelligence community in Los Angeles. Pretty freaking sweet. And in politics, the Fifth Ammendment doesn't apply sometimes. I'm pleased only that this may result in the ousting of a horrible bastard. What am I talking about? Rove and his croneys are good people, who have deep seeded Christian values. Really.

That's all the news from Lake Soulbegone.
