Cartoonish Rioting

So I finally saw the cartoons that supposedly sparked the riots that are raging in the Middle East. I have to say, I was surprised that they weren't very funny. And now an Iranian paper is sponsoring a contest for the best cartoon about the Holocaust. Those fuckers should read Maus.

And I wonder... when did cartoons mocking religion become such a big deal? Of course, we can safely assume that this isn't about cartoons, but rather about religious leaders using this as the catalyst to spark massive anti-West sentiment and galvanize the muslim world in preparation for the next big war, the US invasion of Iran. With Russia and China backing Iran and a huge guerilla movement already brewing, I think the idea is to make invading Iran a terrible idea. Make it so impossibly expensive that if America tries it, it will bankrupt us. Of course, this administration might just try it anyway. They cut 40% from the budget of the Army Corps of Engineers (you know, the people who worked on the levees in New Orleans and were already underfunded), they cut Medicare, they cut Americorps' budget to a nearly inoperable level...

And threw an extra several billion dollars at Defense, promising to entirely refit our military to face guerilla threats.

Dammit.

My only recourse... Mockery.
